Adam Bischoff lost his life at age 15 in the Los Angeles River in 1992.
Adam's death, which was compounded by the lack of a coordinated swiftwater rescue program, sparked the development of the pioneering Los Angeles County multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional swiftwater rescue program. We are honored to announce that Adam Bischoff's family has made a substantial donation to the Higgins & Langley Memorial and Education Fund in support of drowning prevention and education. At this giving time of year, we would like to leverage the Bischoff family's generosity and raise an equal amount of money to also support the annual Higgins & Langley Memorial Awards. Our goal is to raise $15,000-$30,000
