Higgins & Langley Memorial and Education Fund

Adam Bischoff Memorial Gift
2008-2009 Matching Funds Drive

Adam Bischoff Adam Bischoff lost his life at age 15 in the Los Angeles River in 1992.

Adam's death, which was compounded by the lack of a coordinated swiftwater rescue program, sparked the development of the pioneering Los Angeles County multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional swiftwater rescue program.

We are honored to announce that Adam Bischoff's family has made a substantial donation to the Higgins & Langley Memorial and Education Fund in support of drowning prevention and education.

At this giving time of year, we would like to leverage the Bischoff family's generosity and raise an equal amount of money to also support the annual Higgins & Langley Memorial Awards.

Our goal is to raise $15,000-$30,000
between now and May 2009

In addition to our ongoing education and outreach efforts, we need money now to resolve the challenge we've faced in offering commemorative medals to awards recipients. We have had to curtail the sale of commemorative medals indefinitely, due to the lack of a sustainable fund to support production of new medals and awards.

We would appreciate individual, as well as annual corporate sponsor support.
